    An exhibition of new oil paintings from Loralee Grace exploring hue, saturation, brightness and temperature through informal diptychs, pairing a dominant hue landscape with a pure color study. Orange, Purple, Green, and White will be displayed.

    • Gallery 114: MEGA, Second Annual Michigan Emerging Graduate Artists Juried Exhibition presented by Kendall College of Art and Design’s Masters of Fine Art Club. This show features the work of Michigan’s MFA candidates and Bachelor of Fine Arts Graduating Seniors. Created by students for students, MEGA presents a unique perspective on the work being created by the talented emerging artists in Michigan. Juror: Mary Hood, Associate Professor of Art/Printmaking at Arizona State University.

  • 98 E. Fulton- West Michigan Center for Art and Technology:
    Curator: Georgia Taylor
    Local artists, Georgia Taylor, Moises Rojo, and Adam Wolgamott join with the Kendall Painting Club to bring a diverse and eclectic mix of visual art for Art. Downtown. The Kendall Painting Club includes 15 artists whose body of artwork focuses on the uses, techniques and manipulation of wet media. Content varies with each individual artist. An array of styles, mediums, and themes will be displayed showcasing the broad talent of this unique group of dedicated artists. This special collaboration will surely please your visual senses!

  • 109 1/2 South Division- SiTE:LAB
    Student artists from 5 different colleges and universities, local artists, actors, and performers enact a narrative inspired by the building’s history throughout the space. Written by Austin Bunn, this performance is unlike a traditional play and viewers will be able to experience the performance at their own pace and in their own order, or through random encounters.

    Grand opening for the newest Avenue for the Arts store/gallery/studio. Miscellany will feature a mixture of new and used items including clothing, art books, and small electronics. In addition the space will feature an opening for artist Amanda Acker.

    A powerful show of various work by Patrick Millard, a photography professor who passed away recently. The work of Patrick Millard will be on display, slideshow of his images projected, and Leanne MacDonald of the Grand Rapids Symphony will be performing a solo viola piece. Visitors are welcome to bring stories, images, and mementos as there will be an area set up for such tributes.

    Symbiotic is a temporary collaboration between Grand Valley's Curatorial Studio and artists from the University of Iowa. It is a student-curated group show with a thematic emphasis on human impact and environmental intervention. Featuring artists Brendan Baylor, Stephen Crompton, Katie Hargrave, Tobin Mohrfield, and Chrostopher Pickett.
